Flexible Design, Built Around Your Requirements.
Designed to integrate seamlessly into your data centre plans, whatever the challenge.
Every data centre project is different. Avaliable space, access, headroom, load capacity and the equipment you need to move can all influence the right lifting solution.
That’s why our goods lifts can be designed around your project. From compact footprints and space-saving door configurations to resitricted headroom, high capacity and ground to roof access, our experienced team can design a solution that works with your plans.
Our free-standing, self supporting designs require no changes to the building structure and can be supplied with a ramp where required, removing the need for a pit and help reduce unnecessary building work and associated costs.
Share your plans or requirements with our team and we’ll work with you to find a practical, cost-effective solution.

Designed to Fit Your Plans
Design freedom, with technical support when you need it.
When you’re designing a data centre, every square meter has a purpose. The goods lift needs to provide the access the facility will need throughout its lifetime, without unnecessarily compromising your layout or usable space.
We will work with your plans, footprint and lifting requirements to identify the right solution. From compact configurations and space-saving door options to ramp access that can remove the need for a pit, we’ll help you explore the options that work best for your design.
We can provide technical drawings and 3D files to make it easy to incorporate the lift into your floorplan.

For Contractors
A Goods Lift Partner You Can Rely On
From enquiry to installation and beyond, we're here to help make your job easier.
When you are coordinating a data centre project, you need suppliers who understand the requirements and communicate clearly.
We will work with you to find the right solution. Our team can arrange site surveys, advise on the best specification, product technical drawings and manufacture the goods lift here in the UK, before our own installation team delivers and installs it on site.
We can work with your project timeline, with typical lead times of around 6-8 weeks and flexibility where timescales are critical. Once the lift installed, our after team will continue to support you and your customer with servicing, LOLER inspections and spare parts packages.
Technical Drawings & 3D Files
Planning a goods lift into your data centre? We can provide technical drawings and 3D CAD files for our Reach goods lifts, giving your design team the information they need to incorporate the lift into your plans.
A Guide to Moving Heavy Equipment in Data Centres
Plan ahead. Move equipment safely.
From cooling systems and electrical components to batteries and other heavy equipment, moving large or awkward loads between levels can present a challenge. This guide explores how to plan for equipment movement, reduce the risks associated with manual or temporary lifting methods, and use goods lifts to create a dedicated route for installation, maintenance and future upgrades.

Have another question? Contact us
When should a goods lift be considered during a data centre project?
Ideally, lifting requirements should be considered while the building layout is still being developed. Involving us early gives our team more opportunity to work with the available footprint, access requirements, travel height and equipment that needs to be moved. However, we can also support projects that are further into the construction process.
Can you work from our architectual drawings or site plans?
Yes. You can share your plans and project requirements with our team and we’ll help identify a suitable Reach goods lift configuration. Where a standard solution isn’t suitable, our technical team can explore a bespoke design around the requirements of the project.
Do your goods lifts require structural changes?
Our Reach goods lifts are free-standing and self-supporting, so they don’t rely on the building structure for support. They can be incorporated within an enclosure or shaft arrangement depending on the requirements of the project.
Does a goods lift require a pit?
Not necessarily. We can offer ramp-loaded configurations. This can help reduce the building work and associated costs involved in digging a pit.
Can you provide CAD drawings or 3D files for architects?
Yes. Technical drawings and 3D files are available for our Reach goods lifts, helping architects and design teams check dimensions and incorporate the lift into their plans.
Can the lift be designed for a restricted footprint?
Yes. Available space is one of the factors our technical team can consider when developing a solution. Compact dimensions and alternative door configurations, including space-saving options, can help incorporate a goods lift where floor space is particularly valuable.
Can people travel in the goods lift?
Most data centre applications use goods-only lifts. However, Advanced Handling can also provide operator carrying goods lift solutions where the application requires an operator to travel with the load.
