Who is Martells of Sutton?

Martells of Sutton is a family-run business that provides storage facilities for customers looking for secure and convenient space for their belongings. As part of the development of their facility, Martells of Sutton converted part of their existing warehouse space into self-storage.

The Challenge

As part of the conversion of their warehouse, Martells of Sutton wanted to provide additional self-storage space across multiple levels. This created a requirement for a safe and practical way to transport customers belongings from ground level to the upper floor.

The lifting solution needed to provide sufficient capacity for all types of goods, while making the movement of goods as simple and efficient as possible.

Martells of Sutton required a solution that could integrate effectively into the existing building while providing easy access at both levels.
The Solution

Advanced Handling designed and installed a bespoke 500kg goods lift tailored to the self-storage facility, providing a dedicated solution for moving customers belongings between the ground and upper levels of the self-storage facility.

The goods lift was fitted with in-and-out same-side gates, allowing goods to be loaded and unloaded from the same side of the lift. This was designed around the layout and requirements of the building, providing a practical solution for the available space.

To create a cohesive appearance within the facility, the lift gates were painted in Martells of Sutton’s brand colour.
